There’s something about soup season that just feels right. The chopping, the simmering, the way a pot of soup fills the whole house with warmth.
Last year, I decided to lean into that feeling and kicked off Soup’s On Saturday: twelve weeks of my favorite soup recipes that became a highlight of fall on As Noted By Me.
From Chicken Tortilla to Lobster Bisque, each Saturday brought a new bowl to the table, and many of you cooked right along with me. Sharing those recipes, hearing your feedback, and knowing they became part of your own kitchens was the best part of all.

And now… Soup’s On Saturday is back! Year two officially launches next weekend, and I can’t wait to share another season’s worth of recipes with you.
But before we get there, I thought it would be fun to take a little trip down memory lane. Over the next six days, I’ll be recapping two soups at a time from last year’s lineup; the flavors, the favorites, and the ones you told me you couldn’t stop making. Think of it as our own countdown to the kickoff of season two.
Soups: Roasted Tomato Basil + Turkey Thai
Roasted Tomato Basil Soup reminded us why some classics never go out of style. Roasted tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil and a touch of cream. When simple ingredients coming together in the most delicious way it's an instant classic.

Then came the surprise of the season: Turkey Thai Soup. Bright, bold, and a little spicy, it offered a fun twist on soup night with coconut milk, curry, and fresh lime. Together, these two soups showed just how versatile a pot of soup can be.
