Slow Cooked & Classic :: Soup's on Saturday - The Countdown Begins

There’s something about soup season that just feels right. The chopping, the simmering, the way a pot of soup fills the whole house with warmth.
Last year, I decided to lean into that feeling and kicked off Soup’s On Saturday: twelve weeks of my favorite soup recipes that became a highlight of fall on As Noted By Me.
From Chicken Tortilla to Lobster Bisque, each Saturday brought a new bowl to the table, and many of you cooked right along with me. Sharing those recipes, hearing your feedback, and knowing they became part of your own kitchens was the best part of all.

And now… Soup’s On Saturday is back! Year two officially launches next weekend, and I can’t wait to share another season’s worth of recipes with you.
But before we get there, I thought it would be fun to take a little trip down memory lane. Over the next six days, I’ll be recapping two soups at a time from last year’s lineup; the flavors, the favorites, and the ones you told me you couldn’t stop making. Think of it as our own countdown to the kickoff of season two.
Soups: Slow Cooker Hamburger Vegetable + Chicken Wild Rice
Some nights call for low-effort, high-reward meals, and these two delivered. Slow Cooker Hamburger Vegetable Soup is hearty, nostalgic, and packed with all the goodness of a balanced meal. It reminded me of something my grandma would’ve made; the kind of soup that gets even better overnight.

Chicken Wild Rice Soup brought a little midwest-inspired coziness to the lineup. Creamy, nutty, and so satisfying, it was the bowl you wanted on a chilly night when only comfort food would do.

We're just getting warmed up for next season,
